Sometimes it’s just impossible to connect to your hotspot, especially if there are lots and lots of other networks around. A few solutions below.
cmd administrator:
netsh wlan show profiles (to see what your device knows)
netsh wlan connect name=“EskimoIsHot”
If that still says cannot connect, force reset and reboot
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
reboot
Still no good, probably really crowded wifi crappy place
Control panel, device manager, wifi adapter
Drop wireless mode to older, like 802.11ac
Still no good?
Drop bandwidth to 20 mhz
At some point you should at least see the network connecting… we are narrowing out the other junk wifis.
Still not working, use a cable or give up. Actually been in this situation, obviously.
Also go somewhere else, your brain is being cooked with radio signals from all useless wifis.
(note to self, some devices just are totally incompatible, new drivers or not, Nik new laptop + new Xiaomi phone)
