Windows 11 "problems"

Vmware, somehow only uses one core so make sure you have as many cores per socket as needed (min 2)
cpuid.coresPerSocket = “4”
(some confusion whether how many sockets Windows Home vs Pro actually can see, but who uses Home - well, actually in vmwares I do as I don’t need remote desktop but maybe not anymore)

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System|
EnableLinkedConnections REG_DWORD = 1|

When installing and getting to select region etc|
SHIFT F10
OOBE\BYPASSNWO (this disables the network so you can install as a local user instead of an MS one)
Or simply enter a bad network login and you end up in add local anyway|

WIN11 TPM and SecureBoot problems installing
Rufus 3.18 (4.2 does not have it anymore but 4.7 is ok again) and create a boot disk without TPM/SECUREBOOT
OR immidiately after setup starts
SHIFT+F10
regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\SETUP
Create Key LabConfig
DWORD32 BypassTPMCheck 1
DWORD32 BypassSecureBootCheck 1
DWORD32 BypassCPUCheck 1 (yupp, had one 6 core AMD missing sse2)

To enable the Administrator account on Windows 11, open Computer Management and open the
“Administrator Properties” page from the “Users” branch,
and clear the “Account is disabled” option + set a password (no idea what is default, I just overwrite).

One of these got rid of network copying speed dropping to 0 and resuming after a timeout (?)
